Training, qualifications and experience

I am a trainee counsellor in my final year of my Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I am studying with Inter-Psyche Training Institute, part of the NHS Social Care Partnership Trust.

Sometimes we find it hard to cope with life’s challenges, and what we experience can impact us in many ways. I can offer you a confidential, safe, non-judgemental space that allows you to explore your thoughts and feelings, to better understand yourself and make positive changes.

I have a BA (hons) in Social Sciences and a Post-graduate Certificate in Education. I have previously taught further, higher and adult education, but for the last 7 years, I have worked as a senior leader in a children’s mental health charity. Since 2020, I have also volunteered as a youth mentor, helping young people navigate difficulties and increase their self-esteem.

As a student member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their values and ethics within my work and receive regular supervision. My BACP Membership number is 00989151.

About the way I work

I am an integrative counsellor, which means that I use a variety of tools and techniques from different theories to best suit your needs as an individual. Together, we will work at a pace you feel comfortable with, to help you on life’s rich, but sometimes difficult, journey.
